Back from the weekend

Alright, so I’ve returned from my weekend in Bangkok. As it ended up turning out, the only celebrations for the Loi Kratong festival are tonight (as it’s the full moon night…those are important in Buddhism as the Buddha was enlightened under a full moon) so I didn’t actually get to see any of that in Bangkok. Ah well, I still had a phenomenal time hanging out with my friends there.

Yesterday during the day was somewhat uneventful. We met back up with my friend Anne (who had picked up her friend at the airport on Friday night) who brought her friend Cory along and took it easy during the day, as we were all really tired from going out the night before. God, I don’t understand how people can do this every night, but that certainly didn’t stop us!
Again last night we went out, actually to the same two bars and dance club that we went to on Friday night. And again, I had a blast. It’s funny how three days ago I would have never gone to a club, and how my whole perception on that changed in one night. It was fun, and I’d definitely do it again (as long as it’s sporatic, as I still can’t see how people do that every night…it’s exhausting!) Good thing Bangkok stays up late (really late)!
Anyways, today after I checked out of my room (which thankfully I had to myself last night) I had breakfast before meeting up with my friends again to take the van back to Hua Hin. We returned around 4pm. Okay, well that’s about all for now. Gotta run and catch the bus (the wireless internet is still down!)

When I'm not blissfully on the road, I reside in New York City, where I become the ultimate travel junkie and spend my days dreaming up my next great adventure! Read More...
