Off to the City of Angels (Again)

Well this is becoming so routine! Again, I will be heading to Bangkok for the weekend. This time around there is this major Buddhist holiday called the Loi Kratong festival. I’m not quite sure of the significance but I know it involves lights and small boats (banana leaf I think). The main place it is celebrated is in the ancient capital of Sukothai in Northern Thailand. There is an elaborate sound and light show associated with it there, but I didn’t plan far enough in advance and there aren’t any remaining available rooms. So I’m going to Bangkok where they still celebrate it along the Chao Phraya River. Should be interesting to see and I’ll take pictures and post all about it. Should be interesting, so check back for details! I’m planning on staying till Sunday.

When I'm not blissfully on the road, I reside in New York City, where I become the ultimate travel junkie and spend my days dreaming up my next great adventure! Read More...
