Final Thoughts on Yangshuo

As I prepare to leave Yangshuo, I realize just how awe struck I am with this place. The sheer natural beauty and laid back atmosphere are just spectacular and despite all the tourist touts, this place just has so much wonderful charm to it!

I did think long and hard last night as to whether or not it was worthwhile to spend more time here (I could spend weeks and weeks here). I decided that I have so many more places I want to see that I will probably encounter other places just as special.

Yesterday I did not do nearly as much biking as I had hoped. As soon as I set off, I realized just how achy I was from the day before. I realized that today probably wouldn’t be much better, so I just wandered around town for a bit, soaking in the sites and atmosphere.

After I post this, I will head to north to Guilin, the next stop on my adventure. Will it compare to the wonderful experience I’ve had in Yangshuo? Well, I’ll let you know in a few days!

When I'm not blissfully on the road, I reside in New York City, where I become the ultimate travel junkie and spend my days dreaming up my next great adventure! Read More...
