Say What??–Rest Stop?

Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles

Humorous signs on the road are not always nonsensical. Sometimes their mere usage makes you scratch your head! Case in point: this restaurant named “Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles.”

Being such a hot tourist destination, Lijiang is stuffed to the gills with shops and restaurants that are nearly indistinguishible from one another. As such, shops and eateries must come up with unique names for their establishments.

With this logic, why not name a restaurant something memorable. They probably weren’t going for memorable because it made no sense in context, though. I mean, it could be better fitting as the name of a cafe at a rest stop in the middle of North Dakota or something…

Say What?? is a thrice weekly series featuring numerous hilarious signs from my travels. Check back every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for updates! Or better yet, subscribe to my RSS feed to receive them automatically!
