A Brief Chicken Bus Experience
“Chicken Buses” are synonymous with Central America. They’re colorful, loud, diverse and one hell of an experience to ride. Norbert from GloboTreks encountered one in Honduras a few weeks ago, with its unique cast of characters!
How Traveling The World Helped Me Find a Job
It’s easy to dismiss travel as a fun, unproductive activity, but it’s an incredible personal growth exercise. And through personal growth comes the courage and skills to move up in the world. How? Gillian from One Giant Step shares her secret.
Is It Safe to Travel to Egypt and Jordan? US Tourism Leaders to Investigate
The Middle East has been getting a lot of bad press lately as a string of massive protests have sprung up in capitals throughout the region. I’ve previously writen about how the media tends to overhype situations. Leslie from Downtwon Traveler investigates what is really going on in these two tourist hotspots.
Talking Shop: The Unbrave Girl’s Guide to Grocery Shopping in China
I can vouch for the fact that food in China is a bit…well…different and that mundane activities like going shopping can turn into adventures in stamina. The one thing I never did do though is go to a grocery store. Fortunately, Sally, the Unbrave Girl can tell you all about it in this humorous post.
The Post Office at the End of the World
When I was a young child, my family visited the Galapagos Islands and there are only a few things I remember. The boat. The lava tubes. The unique animals. And the mailbox. That was 20 or so years ago and according to Matt from LandLopers, that maibox is still there and going strong! Glad to hear it!

Thanks so much for the recognition, I really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed the Galapagos piece, it was a quirky spot. 🙂
Happy Friday!
My pleasure Matt! It’s such a strange place for a mailbox and sure took me back!
Thanks so much for the shout! Glad to be listed in such great company 🙂
Sure thing Leslie! Have an AMAZING time! I’m SUPER jealous!
Great posts and all worth a read!
Thanks Jeremy!
Thanks for the mention Aaron! That chicken bus was fun to ride and to write about eventually.
Write about eventually? Haha! And happy blogiversary Norbert!
Thanks for the mention, Aaron. You should definitely consider coming back to China to go grocery shopping — it’s definitely an experience not to be missed… especially if you need lots of chicken feet!
Haha! Clearly! Cuz you know I really miss those chicken feet! 😛
Thanks for including me Aaron! It’s easy to not do something b/c we fear the consequences – I like the share that often the consequences are nothing like what we fear. Cheers!
Gillian you are so right! And my pleasure to include you!
