Instant Karma: My Beer Run by the Ganges

They say Karma can be a bitch, right? Well that seems to be the very lesson that Wes of Johnny Vagabond learned when his desperation for a beer drove him to violate religious traditions. Told in his usual riveting storytelling, Wes also learns that monkeys are the devil, a sentiment I can wholeheartedly agree with! A great read!

Petra By Night in Photos

Jordan’s Petra is a pretty stunning place by day. But have you seen it by night? Dave and Deb of The Planet D have and they took some of the most sunning photos you have ever seen. Trust me.

Photo Essay: Visiting Cairo’s Tahrir Square After the Revolution

Remember that revolution Egypt had couple of months ago? I know, I know, a lot has happened since then, but its epicenter was Cairo’s Tahrir Square. Images of the hordes of protestors camped out there surrounded by troops who may or may not have been on their side are seared into recent memory. But what’s Tahrir Square like now? Leslie from Downtown Traveler found out.

Positive Ways to Deal With Travel Negativity

If someone has told you that you’ve had your traveling fun and it’s time to get a “real” job, raise your hand! I think every traveler has experienced this in some way or another. Society just doesn’t understand those who do not wish to subscribe to societal norms of a 9-5 job. Teresa from Art of Backpacking tackles these very issues as she prepares to move to Europe.

Will and Kate – The Royal Wedding

Unless you were living under a rock, you probably heard that there was a little wedidng in London last Friday. Just a small, tiny ceremony at Westminster Abby between Prince William, 2nd in line to the British throne wed his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton in a lavish ceremony. While we all watched the extravaganza on TV, Chris, The Aussie Nomad, saw it fold out live on the streets of London and has some awesome photos to prove it!

Cheers for the mention mate. Was a great day out and certainly glad I made the effort to attend. But damn 6 hours and no toilet break was a killer

Hahahaha don’t EVER try doing New Year’s Eve in Times Square then! πŸ˜›

Loved your post Teresa! My pleasure to include you! And if you want to be in Times Square for NYE (as opposed to closer to the Park) you gotta get there WAY before 6pm… πŸ˜›

Thanks for including my Tahrir Square post! Honored to be in such strong company πŸ™‚ Visiting Tahrir Square was an amazing experience– having seen the images on TV, it was quite a shock to see the current condition. I’d recommend you visit Egypt and check it out!

My pleasure Leslie! It was wonderful to see what Tahrir Square is like now after all those horrific images on TV! And I’d love to visit Egypt! Someday…someday…
