Would you believe me if I told you that there was a restaurant centered around condoms? Now, if I told you that restaurant was in Bangkok, Thailand, you’d probably get all these awful images in your head, right? But this celebrated restaurant isn’t part of the city’s famed seedy underbelly. In fact it’s a classy touristy draw! I present to you: “Cabbages and Condoms.”
You’re probably thinking: “Why would I want condoms with my cabbages?” Well, rest assured, condoms are a mere theme to the decor inspired by the restaurant’s mission. A product of the Population and Community Development Association, proceeds from Cabbages and Condoms go to benefit family planning initiatives and HIV/AIDS prevention.
So just how do condoms work their way into the decor? Well, you find them in the tables…
